Seaside's Internship Program

Receive Hands-on Field Experience at Florida's leading Wild Bird Rehabilitation Facility

Do you want to intern at Florida’s leading wild bird rehabilitation facility? Whether you are studying environmental sciences, ecology, avian medicine, veterinarian medicine, wildlife rehabilitation, wildlife biology, Zoology, and/or wildlife conservation, the Seaside Seabird Sanctuary’s student internship program is an exciting, rewarding, and educational way to gain much needed field experience.

As an intern in Seaside’s program, students will assist Seaside’s experienced staff members in the day-to-day care of hundreds of sick and injured birds. In doing so, all hours that an intern earns will be recorded by Seaside to go towards the student’s internship hour requirements. Once completed, Seaside management will provide any and all reviews, recommendations, and references needed by the intern.

Student Internship Program Requirements:

  • Applicants must be willing to undergo a general background check.
