Do you want to intern at Florida’s leading wild bird rehabilitation facility? Whether you are studying environment, ecology, avian medicine, veterinarian medicine, wildlife rehabilitation, wildlife biology, Zoology, and /or wildlife conservation, the Seaside Seabird Sanctuary’s student internship program is an exciting, rewarding, and educational way to gain much needed field experience.
As an intern in Seaside’s program, students will assist Seaside’s experienced staff members in the day-to-day care of hundreds of sick and injured birds. In doing so, all hours that an intern earns will be recorded by Seaside to go towards the student’s internship hour requirements. Once completed, Seaside management will provide any and all reviews, recommendations, and references needed by the intern.
*An interns enrollment and tenure in the internship program can be reevaluated and/or terminated at the discretion of Seaside Management at any time due to performance or attitude.
*The Seaside Seabird Sanctuary is a drug and alcohol free workplace.
Signup to become an intern at the Seaside Seabird Sanctuary by downloading and filling out the internship program application and returning it, along with your I.D. and school documents, to the Sanctuary's giftshop Tuesdays - Saturday between the hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm.
