Conservation Team

Get your hands dirty and make a real difference as a Conservation Department volunteer. From caring for our ambassador animals in the Eco-Discovery Center to growing mangroves in our nursery used to restore critical mangrove habitat, you’ll play a direct role in protecting the ecosystems our patients depend on. Volunteers take part in hands-on habitat restoration both on-site and throughout the Tampa Bay area.

You’ll connect with guests, share the stories of our ambassadors and resident birds, and be part of meaningful conservation efforts—helping ensure every animal we treat has a healthy home to return to.

Be part of something bigger—join us and make an impact.
